Community Outreach

Kairos is a ministry done with residents in prison. On a Kairos weekend, volunteers go inside for 4 days and provide a program to help those who attend to discover God’s love for them and hear the gospel message. There is weekly follow-up with those who participate in a weekend. The Leesburg Trinity church family supports this ministry through volunteers who go into the prison while others bake homemade cookies for use during the weekend, leading and participating in the kitchen offsite where homemade food is made for the weekend, as well as other various gifts of love.

Our Ride for Christ ministry takes place the fourth Sunday of June each year and has been held for 23 years now. The morning event begins with an outside worship service followed by a lunch provided by the church family, and a motorcycle ride through the hills of southern Ohio. The whole event gets riders from various areas around central and southwest Ohio.

Our Family Fun & Movie Night outreach is held on Friday evenings a couple nights each summer for the whole community. The event begins with free food and games for families to enjoy followed by a screening of a motion picture on the front lawn.

Our Trunk or Treat outreach takes place on our community’s trick or treat evening. The church family provides free hotdogs, snacks, water, and hot chocolate to aid families who may not have enough time to feed their family after work and before trick or treat begins. The church family also participates by passing out candy from the trunk of their cars.

Leesburg Trinity Church holds their VBS in mid-July each year which is open to the community. The kids enjoy sessions of song, crafts, games, as well as a lesson to help them know the love of Jesus.

Our church also participates in other various outreaches to partner with various ministries in Highland County like the homeless shelter, Jobs & Family services, as well as the Leesburg Community Center, and our local school district. We also are engaged in Operation Christmas Child and support of missionaries in various parts of the world.
